Vanquish™

The newest in body contouring and fat reduction, Vanquish uses a new class of radio-frequency technology to treat large areas with less time and discomfort to the patient.

What is Vanquish?vanquish-device

Vanquish uses newly developed Selective RF ™ technology to deliver energy selectively into the tissue by focusing the RF energy into fat layers, while restricting the delivery of high heat elsewhere. This enables treatment of larger areas with minimal risk of burning or blistering the skin or overheating muscles or internal organs. Following a series of treatments, patients will experience a noticeable reduction of fat in the treatment area.

How many treatments Will I Need?

You will need a series of treatments administered weekly. Dr. Sofonio will discuss your specific needs during your consultation.

What Should I Know Prior to Treatment?

Be sure to arrive for your Vanquish appointment at Dr. Sofonio’s office well hydrated. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water 1 day before, the day of and 1 day after your treatment to help improve lymphatic drainage. Light physical exercise following your treatment is also recommended.

What Are the Potential Side Effects?vanq

There is no pain associated with the Vanquish treatment, only a sensation of heat. Following treatment there is no discomfort or downtime. Typical side effects include warmth, redness and minor swelling that subsides usually within 30 minutes. Dr. Sofonio will discuss all possible side effects with you before your treatment.

Are There Any Contraindications?

If you have an active implant such as a pacemaker, cardio converter, cochlear implant, copper IUD or other metal implants you are not eligible for treatment. Also, those who are pregnant or nursing should not treat with Vanquish.
